Word on the street is that if unicorns were real, everything that they consume on a daily basis would be beautiful, full of sparkles, and rainbow.
I mean, it is quite fitting. The unicorn trend has taken off rapidly this year as you can find unicorn related DIY for almost every category out there. Unicorn clothing is also very popular amongst the millennial generation.
My favorite unicorn creation: The giant unicorn floaties
Wildfox also has some great unicorn sweatshirts online
But, I decided to go the unicorn foodie route…. with grilled cheese!
-Three different kinds of shredded cheese (to add some extra gooeyness to the final product)
-Food coloring (preferably bright colors)
-Different bowls for making each color of cheese
*Tip: Less is more when it comes to food coloring if you want that bright color
After the cheese coloring is to your own unicorn aesthetic perfection, start to put it on the bread (after buttering one side of course), and then just proceed as you usually would with grilled cheese!
I kind of burnt mine, (honestly I am a terrible cook). I also wished that I would have used white bread so that once I put the sprinkles on it would have contrasted more.
*Trick: After cooking the grilled cheese, put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. This will allow you to get that perfect gooey cheese coming out of the sides, and that stringy look when pulling the two pieces apart.
Enjoy this unicorn meal, and sparkle on
