It was Crunch’s Birthday for this particular Timberwolves game, so everyone received a super adorable party hat. This party hat had images of all of Crunch’s friends aka rival mascots on it. There was also some extra events at half-time which made the night even more enjoyable.
We decided to go to this game in particular because there was a Big 10 networking event prior to the game in the Mayo Clinic sponsored event room. Arriving we realized everyone was casually about 5-10 years older than us…. so we didn't exactly branch out. Especially seeing that a majority of the older alumni were in Indiana and Michigan attire. Because of this networking event, our tickets also stated that we were able to shoot a free throw after the game. We were super excited for this opportunity until we realized that everyone else in line were children ages four to twelve. You can see the height difference of us vs. the kids when waiting in line. Despite the ten year age gap, we still were ecstatic to have the chance to try and make a free-throw. Well…. neither of us made the shot. We also tried to get a picture on the court, but we were quickly escorted off the court by security. “Nice try” they said with a snicker. We figured a good amount of people try to get photos down on the court to make it seem like they had the nicer seats. It was worth the try!
I did not have a Timberwolves jersey to work into my outfit as Brooke did, so I decided to go with a green dress. This dress featured the latest trend of the cold shoulder, and was comfortable as it is a cotton/poly blend. The thing with fast fashion trends is that you can find very similar garments EVERYWHERE so do not spend over $40 if it feels cheap! This dress was only $16 at Marshalls. From taking a textiles course, and just working retail, I know that many of those “mark-down” prices really were never starting at $80. The shirt or dress was most likely bought at cost for $10 or less. Just use competitive shopping whenever you are iffy about anything.
As for accessories, I paired the dress with a Marc Jacobs bag, Sam Edelman booties, and some Alex & Ani bracelets.
